About
My practice crosses performance, new media, architecture, writing and curating. It largely centres on the critical relationship between people and environments, physical, cultural and political. This extends into the use of creative processes for education, cultural and social change, and has applied the knowledge I have derived from my practice into work with Local Authorities, Schools and Environmental Organisations which has been funded through various governmental and non-governmental bodies.
I have taught, researched and developed curricula in art, design, architecture and performance in UK Universities for the past 21 years, I have also served in leadership roles from 2016 - 2018 as Head of the Lincoln School of Design at the University of Lincoln. From 2013 - 2016 as Head of Art & Design at York St John University, I am currently Head of Design at the University of Derby. My pedagogic research draws on critical pedagogy and is focused on collaborative knowledge production and enquiry based learning.
